They’ll pick up five spelling every week from lists 1 through 14 in Developing Spelling Proficiency Daily Exercise, Grade 1, and then 8 phrases every week from lists 15 through 30.
For each list dictation sentences are offered.
For each list, one or two dictation sentences are offered.
The following are some spelling lists:
⦁ Words with short and long vowels adding s and es
⦁ words with sh, nt, and nd
⦁ words with the sounds ow, ar, aw, and oa
⦁ words in the present and past tenses
Each unit's practice pages feature the following:
⦁ a spelling list with places for reading, writing, and spelling each word
⦁ a configuration puzzle for each spelling list
⦁ word sorting; word meaning (filling in sentences with missing spelling words)
⦁ exercises to identify misspellings and hidden words
Spelling test, individual spelling record, and spelling record form are examples of reproducible documents.
